This does not apply to passengers under the age of 6, those with a diplomatic or an official visa issued by Japan, US military personnel, or civilian personnel of the US Armed Forces in Japan (and their dependents). Passengers with a consular letter specifying why the test could not be taken are also exempt. All passengers are also subject to testing for COVID-19 and must undergo a 14-day quarantine.
